How This Release Helps You Succeed

We know that efficient allocation management is essential to your daily operations. This release is designed to make your processes faster and more intuitive, freeing up your time to focus on high-value tasks.

Simple Fixed Percentage & Partial Allocations

Sometimes your allocations are simple—all you want is to quickly key in a percentage to allocate. Now, you can!

In the Allocation Maintenance dashboard, you can now simply enter a percent of a source amount to allocate. This enables fixed percentage allocations and supports scenarios where you only need to allocate a partial amount.

Easier Than Ever Allocation Maintenance

Get back to business with a more streamlined allocation maintenance process that saves time and reduces steps.

On Save’ Setup Validations

When creating and defining allocations, it can be hard to know if you’ve made a mistake somewhere in your setup or perhaps made a typo while defining a Member Filter. To combat this, we’ve introduced system validations that run on save when you create or update an allocation definition. Now you can be confident that your allocations are properly defined from the start.

Seamless Import from Excel

We know you live in Excel, so we’ve improved our import templates to make your bulk updates smooth and seamless.

  • All-in-One Import Template: No more managing and uploading multiple individual files! Allocations and factors can now be loaded from a single Excel file, simplifying the import process.
  • Replace, Merge & Update from Excel: Merge in new allocation definitions and update existing ones – all from Excel. Or easily start from scratch using “Replace” to synchronize all your allocation definitions without any added clicks.

Backup and Restore from CSV

You’ve always been able to easily back up your allocation definitions to a CSV file. Now, you can upload that same file right back into AllocateIt with no extra steps for easier restoration and migration.

More Control in Genealogy Reports

Listening to your feedback, we improved the clarity and gave you more control of the out-of-the-box Genealogy reports.

Transparent Allocation Math

We improved the way we show allocation math to make it easier to understand. We kept the proof column for immediate insight, and now you also have the key driver values and percentages in separate columns when diving deeper into the details of how an allocation amount was derived.

SV121 Allocation Calculation Proof

Bonus: You can now export this information to Excel for more analysis with less hassle, as the individual calculation amounts are already split out.

Filterable Fields

All data grids in Genealogy are now filterable, allow you to show, hide, or rearrange columns, and automatically save your preference. Now you can focus on just the fields that are relevant to you!

Drill Down by Target Dimension

We separated the allocation target intersection into separate columns so you can filter by dimension to find the exact allocated intersection to continue drilling down for analysis.

Improved Governance & Guidance

We heard that you want more control over who could view and manage allocations, so we added more granular security. To better assist you when setting up your no-code allocation definitions, we have introduced ‘On Save’ validations that ensure each of your inputs is valid and your allocation is configured properly.

“View Only” Access

Not everyone needs access to manage the setup of allocations. To let more people see the definitions without the ability to change them, we’ve added a “View Only” security role. This improvement increases transparency and allows you to have separation of responsibilities.

Human-Readable & Helpful Error Messages

We do our best to deliver a bug-free experience, but sometimes we don’t account for your unique OneStream setup in our solution. To better assist you and enable quicker error resolution, we’ve added additional error-trapping and more detail to our error logs with refined messages to provide actionable next steps to troubleshoot an error.

These enhancements are part of our commitment to providing the tools you need for an efficient, informed, and seamless administrative process. We’re excited for you to try these improvements and welcome your feedback.
